Travel to Manaus-AM

After confirming the dates of your stay at the lodge, purchase your ticket to Manaus, remembering that it is necessary to arrive at least one night in advance and depart after 12:00 pm on the return day.

Accommodation in Manaus

Book the hotel in advance to ensure your stay.

We recommend Blue Tree Premium Manaus – we have a promotional package with special prices for our fishermen. However, you can choose the hotel of your preference.

Fill out the required documents with the information to be forwarded to the support staff in Manaus.

Transfer in Manaus

The transfer is provided at no cost for group travel on the routes:
• Arrival: Airport (Arrival terminal) to the hotel.
• Hotel / Aeroclube
• Return: Aeroclube to the Airport (Departure terminal) or Hotel.

Luggage for the trip

We recommend that your belongings: fishing gear, clothes, and other items for a 5-day stay, come with a maximum of 18 kilos in a bag/suitcase and a backpack with your personal items and clothes for use in Manaus.

As for clothes, they should be light and fresh (they can be washed at the lodge), hats, and a raincoat, as we are in an equatorial climate.

Arriving in Manaus

The transfer responsible will be waiting for the group (minimum 9 Pax) to take them to the hotel. This is where your backpack with your personal items and clothes for the hotel stay in Manaus comes in.

Day of the flight to the lodge

The transfer will pick you up around 5:00/5:30 am at your hotel.

We recommend that you request breakfast for 5:00 am.

At 6:00 am, the flight is scheduled at the Aeroclube in a chartered plane (Caravan).

Arriving at the lodge

A hearty breakfast awaits you, and the guides will be ready. Feel free to enjoy the lodge and its delicious fruits, juices, meals, and unique environment. We remind you that drinks and meals are included.

Rest and enjoy the moments, as the climate is very intense and the fishing very effective. Don't forget the photos, to capture these incredible moments and your trophies.

Returning to Manaus

After five days of fishing, it is time to return. The room must be vacated by 6:00 am, your belongings left in front of the room, and the backpack carried with you. The flight is scheduled to leave at 8:30 am, arriving in Manaus by 11:00 am, where the transfer will be waiting for you.

Stay Guidelines:

Meals

Breakfast:

Served from 6:00 to 8:30 am. (Coffee on the porch, from 5:00 am).

Lunch:

Served from 12:30 to 1:30 pm at the lodge.

For snacks on the boat or lunch on the riverbank, this should be informed the night before, along with the definition of drinks on board, to facilitate logistics.

Dinner:

Served from 7:30 to 8:30 pm.

Appetizer at the Lodge:

Other fish species can be brought to the lodge to be prepared and served at the end of the day. We suggest they be caught in the late afternoon.

Parador:

On the way between the two lodges, lunch will be held on a set date, between 12:00 and 2:00 pm, for group fellowship.

Fishing

Guide:The lodge’s policy is to rotate the guides among the fishing pairs.
Gasoline:Sufficient fuel will be provided for the fishing day.
Drinks on Board:A cooler with drinks and ice will be provided for each boat.
Fishing Day:The guides will be available from 6:30 am, ending normal activities at 5:30 pm. If you intend to extend the defined hours, this should be informed at the lodge before departure for the knowledge of the land staff and everyone’s safety.
Artificial Lure:All must have a maximum of 2 treble hooks and should have the barbs crushed.
Live Bait:Depending on availability, it will be provided at a cost per unit. For this type of fishing, the use of special “Circular” hooks is mandatory to avoid fish mortality.
Fish Out of Water:The time limit is 20 seconds due to their fragility and mortality.
Peacock Bass:A highly valuable sport fish (prohibited from killing in the state) and the main target of sport fishing at Itapará Inn. Therefore, it is not allowed to kill any species of peacock bass and the guides are instructed to preserve and not allow it under any circumstances.
Redondo:An advanced post of Itapará Inn located 50 km south of the main lodge. It has the same characteristics and clients will rotate during their fishing period. An opportunity to explore other areas and appropriately distribute the load in the fishing ecosystem.

Safety

Accident:

It is common to have accidents with artificial lures, so it is suggested to use glasses and a hat, as well as crushed treble hooks. If it occurs, it can be easily removed at the lodge.

Drinks:

It is strictly forbidden to give alcoholic beverages to employees, especially to the guides during working hours for safety reasons.

Trash:

It is strictly forbidden to leave trash in the river or on the riverbank, it must be brought back for processing at the lodge. Help preserve our ecosystem.

Safe:

The lodge has a safe for storing valuables and personal items.

Stay

Shower:The showers provided with solar heating should have special care when adjusting the taps, before entering the shower (Red-Hot Water).
Laundry:The laundry service is available to the customer, just leave the clothes on the floor in front of the bed.
Tip:As the guides work in a rotation system, we suggest paying them directly at the end of the day. For the ground staff at both lodges, we ask you to put it in the “Tip” box in an available envelope, which will then be divided among the kitchen and general services staff of the lodge.
